Strip & Wax Floor Care

Strip and wax work starts with the condition under the shine. Repeatedly applying new finish over old wax can seal dirt and residue between layers. The floor may still look glossy, but the buildup remains underneath.

Grocare Clean removes the old finish before applying new coats. Heavy buildup may require extra passes, edge work, or manual scraping before the crew applies the new finish.
Full Stripping Before New Finish
Grocare prepares the floor by removing loose debris and applying stripping solution. Commercial floor equipment breaks down the existing finish, while the crew gives edges, corners, and stubborn buildup additional attention as needed.
Grocare removes the old finish and slurry, then rinses or neutralizes the floor as needed and lets it dry. The crew applies new finish only after completing the stripping and preparation work.
Multiple Coats of Finish
Grocare typically applies a minimum of four coats of finish. The crew lets each coat dry before applying the next, then buffs the floor after the final coat dries. The exact product, number of coats, and curing time depend on the floor, traffic level, and site conditions.
Floor Care Between Full Stripping Cycles
A full strip is not always necessary when a floor begins to lose some shine. If the existing finish is still sound, periodic scrubbing and recoating may extend its life. Grocare can review the floor condition and traffic patterns before recommending the next service.
